Aggarwal Sweets

Our place is on Old Delhi Road at the Annpurna Market, right near Sihaul Maud. We have units 7 and 8. It’s a very busy intersection and there is always noise from the horns and the buses going by. We have been here for quite some time now. The shop is basically two rooms joined together. We keep the glass cases filled up every morning. Sometimes the flies try to get in when the door stays open too long, so we are always shooing them away. The staff eats lunch in the back one by one because there isn't a lot of extra space. We have a big ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it’s on high speed, but it keeps the air moving. The market is full of all kinds of shops, so there is always something happening outside. We see a lot of commuters who stop by quickly while they are waiting for their bus or auto. It gets really crowded in the evenings. We don't use any fancy computers for the bills, just a simple pad and a pen usually. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. It’s just a local shop serving the people who pass through Old Delhi Road every day. We just try to keep the counters stocked and the floor clean enough.
