Abhinav Trading Company

If you come down to the Galla Mandi, you will find us at shop number 24. It is Abhinav Trading Company. Being in the mandi means it is always noisy and there is a lot of shouting and trucks moving around constantly. We start very early, often before the sun is even up, because that is when the goods arrive from the farms. Our shop is packed with sacks and crates most of the time. There isn't much room to walk around inside, but we know where everything is kept. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but nobody really cares about that as long as the trading is going well. We spend our days weighing things and talking to the drivers. It is a busy life and you have to be quick or you get left behind in the rush. Sometimes we have a quick lunch sitting on the crates. The smell of grain and dust is always in the air here. It is a tough environment but it is what we know. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements, just the number 24 above the door. People know us from years of being in the same spot. We deal with whatever comes in that day and try to get it sorted before the mandi closes up for the evening. It is just a regular trading life in a crowded market where everyone is just trying to earn a living.
