Aastha Kirana Store

Aastha Kirana Store is located right on Purana Sabji Mandi Road in Meena Mohalla. We are in Sector-01, and if you are looking for us, we are quite close to Baba Kirana. Our day starts really early, usually before the sun is fully up, because that is when people want their daily supplies. The old vegetable market road is always crowded, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We spend a lot of time weighing out grains and stacking up bags of flour. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it is hard to find where we put a specific jar of spices. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside the store, but that is just how it is in this neighborhood. We know most of our neighbors by name, and they often stop by just to chat for a minute while they buy their groceries. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles or a torch to see the back of the store. We don't have any fancy computers, just a thick notebook where we write everything down in pen. The floor needs sweeping pretty much every hour because of all the mud from the street. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but we’ve been doing this for years now. We just try to keep the basics in stock so nobody has to go too far for their needs.
