We opened up Tamura in Sector 15 Part 2 because we needed a place to work and we liked the spot at SCO 20. It's not a huge place, just a regular shop where we spend most of our day. We start early in the morning getting the kitchen ready and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around, which is just how things go. We serve Japanese food, mostly because that's what we know how to make. There are a few tables and chairs, nothing fancy. People come in, they eat, and they go about their day. We know most of the people who work nearby since they stop by for lunch quite often. The floors get scuffed and we have to mop them twice a day because of the dust. It gets pretty loud when the lunch rush starts, and sometimes we run out of certain ingredients if it's a busy Tuesday. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us trying to keep things moving. We’ve been here for a while now and the neighborhood has changed a bit, but we’re still doing the same thing. The sign outside is a little faded from the sun. We spend a lot of time checking the fridge and making sure the rice is cooked right. It’s just a job, but we try to do it properly so people don't complain.
