Our shop is tucked into the Sushant Shopping Arcade at Shop No. C-201/202. If you have ever walked around Sushant Lok- 1, you have probably passed by us at some point. It is a decent spot, though the parking outside can be a real headache most days. Inside, we have got different kitchen setups and cupboards on display so people can see how they work. Most days, it is just the sound of the air conditioner and the occasional customer sliding a drawer open to see if it feels solid. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the handles do not have fingerprints all over them. It is funny how much time you can spend just looking at wood finishes and cabinet hinges. The arcade has its own rhythm, with the other shop owners stopping by to chat or the delivery guys bringing in heavy boxes that we have to find space for. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of new stock coming in, but we manage to keep it organized. We are not a giant showroom with hundreds of staff; it is just a few of us who know where every screw and panel belongs. Sometimes we sit in the back and have our lunch while talking about the different house renovations we have seen lately. It is quiet work for the most part, but we like being part of the neighborhood here.
