Designs Inc. Furniture Concepts

We operate out of Gurgaon, mostly working on different furniture ideas that people ask for. It’s not like those big air-conditioned malls you see popping up everywhere around here. Our space is more about the actual work. You’ll find sawdust on the floor and the sound of saws going for most of the morning. We started Designs Inc. Furniture Concepts because we liked making things with our hands and seeing a project come together. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a piece of wood has a knot we have to work around, but that makes it feel more real. We don’t have a massive team, just a few of us who know how to handle tools and put a cabinet or a table together. Gurgaon has changed so much, with all the high-rises, but we just stay in our corner doing what we’ve always done. Some days are slow, just sanding down edges, and other days we’re rushing to finish a set for a local flat. We don’t bother with much decoration in the shop itself since we need the room to move the heavy stuff. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in our work clothes, covered in a bit of paint or wood glue. It’s practical work. We just take the wood and try to turn it into something useful for someone’s home. It’s simple, really. No big philosophy behind it, just putting pieces together. We have some old coffee mugs sitting on the workbench and some sketches pinned to the wall. That’s how we work.
