Our setup for Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited is over in Gurgaon at 3/63-A, Shiva Ji Nagar. Gurgaon has changed a lot with all the big buildings, but our part of town still feels a bit more traditional. We’ve got a small office here where we manage all the cement sales for the local area. It’s a busy spot because there is always some kind of construction going on nearby. We spend our days talking to builders and making sure the trucks are loaded up correctly. The office isn’t anything to brag about, just a place to sit and do the billing. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three trucks arrive at once and the phone won’t stop ringing. We just take it one step at a time. The staff here has been around for a few years, so we know the routine. We don’t go in for anything fancy. It’s just about getting the cement to the people who need it. Shiva Ji Nagar is a good location for us because it’s easy for people to find. We try to keep the paperwork organized, but it’s hard with all the dust flying around. It’s a solid, basic business and we just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes. We are mostly focused on the local sales and deliveries and making sure the trucks get out.
