We’ve been at 79 - A in Udyog Vihar Phase V for a while now. The yard gets pretty loud once the mixers start up in the morning. Most days it’s just about getting the loads ready and making sure the trucks get out on time before the traffic gets too bad around here. It’s a lot of concrete, obviously. There is always dust on everything, even if we try to sweep up. It’s hard work, but it is what we do. People stop by the gate sometimes asking about small jobs, and we just tell them how it is. We aren't fancy. The office is just a small room where we keep the paperwork and the tea kettle. Some of us have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm down. You get used to the smell of wet cement and the sound of the machines. The sun hits the pavement hard in the afternoons. Sometimes the rain messes with the schedule, but that is just part of being in this business. We just focus on the task in front of us. If a truck breaks down, we fix it and keep going. There’s not much more to say than that. It’s just a regular place where we work with concrete and try to get through the day's orders without too much trouble. The neighbors in Phase V know us by the noise, I guess. We try to stay out of the way. It’s mostly just making sure the mix is right.
