Aditya Birla Group(Ultratech Concrete)

We are located out in Village-Khadesar, which is near Tikampar in Deoria. This is not some big city office with glass walls. It is more like a rural spot for the concrete side of the business. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace here in the village, but the work still needs doing. We have a small building where we keep all the logs and records. Most of the local people around here know exactly where we are. We handle the Ultratech concrete orders for this whole part of the district. The roads leading to our site are mostly made of dirt and gravel. When the monsoon season comes, things can get a bit tricky with the mud. We spend our days checking on the inventory and talking to the truck drivers who come through. It is a lot of face-to-face talking. Not many people around here bother with emails or things like that. We have a small tea kettle in the corner of the room and a few plastic chairs for anyone who drops by. It is a very simple way of living and working. Our job is to make sure the concrete gets to the construction sites in the nearby villages. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours in the afternoon. We just sit outside under the shade or work by the light from the window. We don’t have fancy signs or big doors. Just a gate and some people.
