Balaji Toys & Gift Gallery

We are Balaji Toys & Gift Gallery, situated at Shop 10 in Qutub Plaza. That’s over in DLF City Phase I. If you live in this part of Gurgaon, you probably know the plaza well. It’s one of those older shopping centers that has everything. Our shop is packed with toys for kids and all sorts of gift items for grown-ups too. Because it’s Qutub Plaza, we get a lot of people who are just out for a walk or grabbing groceries and decide to stop in. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as many toys as possible on the shelves. Sometimes you have to squeeze past the board games to get to the dolls or the toy cars. I spend a lot of time dusting the boxes because they seem to attract it so quickly. It’s a fun place to work, though, especially when the kids come in and get excited about something. DLF Phase I is a busy area, but the plaza has its own specific feel. We’ve been here at number 10 for a good while now. We don't have a big staff, just enough to help people and keep the register going. It’s a simple, local toy shop. We open up every day and stay until the shoppers head home. I usually have to reorganize the stuffed animals every couple of hours because they always end up on the floor. It’s just the way it goes here.
