SOUND MACHINERY MAKERS

Out here near the bye pass in Batala, we keep things pretty straightforward at Sound Machinery Makers. It’s an old industrial area on the G.T. Amritsar Road and you can usually hear the sound of metal being worked on from a distance. We spend most of our mornings getting the machines warmed up and checking what orders came in. Gurdaspur is a place where people value things that actually work, so we don't bother with anything that’s just for show. Our workshop is right there where the road bends, easy to spot if you are looking for it. We make different kinds of machinery depending on what a customer asks for. Some days it is noisy and dusty, but that is part of the trade. Punjab has always been a hub for this kind of work, and we are just one of the shops contributing to that. We have been at this address for quite a long time. The guys working here have been with us for years and they know the equipment inside out. We don’t have a big office staff, just the workers and the tools. If someone stops by, they usually find us covered in a bit of grease. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We take pride in the stuff that leaves our doors heading out on those trucks. The G.T. Road is always busy, and so are we.
