About Parmar Hersh Vardhan Singh Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Gurdaspur
Working out of Parmar Niwas feels right. It’s on Dalhousie Road, right across from Sharma Nursing Home, which makes it easy to find. Most people just look for the nursing home and then see our place. It’s an old house, and my office is just a room we converted. The traffic on Dalhousie Road can get pretty loud during the rush hour, especially with the ambulances and the buses going past, but I’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. Inside, things are a bit cluttered. I have stacks of old magazines in the corner and my drawing board takes up most of the space near the window. My name is on a small plate by the gate. I spend a lot of my time just staring out at the people coming and going from the clinic across the street. The gate squeaks every time someone opens it, and I keep saying I’ll oil it, but I never do. It’s a comfortable spot. Not like those cold, modern offices in the city center. Here, the walls are thick and it stays cool in the summer. I usually have the radio playing low in the background while I work on plans. It’s just a normal day-to-day life here. No big corporate vibes, just a local person doing their job in a familiar neighborhood. It gets the job done without all the extra fuss of a big city firm.
