About Mahajan Bhanu Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Gurdaspur
I've been working out of H.No.1 on Lane No.5 for a while now. Mission Road is usually pretty busy in the mornings, but once you turn into our lane, things quiet down a bit. It is just a regular house really, not some fancy glass building you might expect for an architect’s office. I sit here at a wooden desk that’s seen better days, surrounded by rolls of tracing paper and a few old pens that I keep forgetting to throw away even though they’re dry. Most days, the neighbors are out washing their cars or the local kids are playing nearby, and that’s just how it is. People sometimes get lost looking for Lane No.5 because the sign is a bit faded, but once they find us, they just walk right in. It’s not a formal place. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on a pile of blueprints. There is a window that looks out onto the street and I spend a lot of time watching the stray dogs or the delivery bikes go past. It’s a simple setup. No big reception desk or someone in a suit waiting to greet you at the door. Just me and the work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home, which makes the long hours drafting feel a bit shorter. I like being on Mission Road because everything is close by and it feels like a real community.
