St Pauls High School

St Pauls High School is located right in Rasoolpet, which is a part of Phirangipuram. Most days start pretty early for us here. We get the gates open and wait for the students to start showing up from the nearby streets. Phirangipuram isn’t the biggest place, so everyone kind of knows where we are. The building itself has seen plenty of seasons. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance, like fixing a leaky tap or painting a wall that’s started to peel. It’s a lot of work running a school in a place like Rasoolpet. You hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day, from the local vendors to the people heading to work. We don't have a lot of fancy bells and whistles, just the classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to move around during their lunch hour. The staff here are mostly local people who live not too far away. We drink our tea in the small staff room and talk about the day's lessons. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. It’s just a regular school day after day. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn’t changed much. People stop by to ask about admissions or just to say hello when they're passing through Rasoolpet. It's just how things are around here. We try to stay on top of the work and keep the building in good shape.
