Sandeep & Co.

Sandeep & Co. is a small business we run out of 204, Chinalingayapalem in Ponnur. It is not a very big place, but it serves our needs just fine. We have been in this building for several years. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with our daily tasks to worry about that. We mostly deal with local supplies and trading items that people in the surrounding villages need. Sandeep started the company because he wanted to work for himself and stay close to home. Most of the people who come by are regulars who we have known for a long time. We don't really do much in terms of promotion or advertising. Word of mouth seems to work well enough for us. The afternoon heat can get quite intense here, so we tend to slow down a bit around lunchtime and have some tea. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time. We keep our records in big notebooks and try to stay organized, even if the desk looks a bit messy to an outsider. There are a few trees outside that give some shade to the motorcycles parked in front. We are just regular people trying to make a living and provide what the local market asks for. It’s honest work and we plan to keep doing it right here at our usual spot.
