Omkaram Pachari Shop

Our shop is at 6-3-512 on Vellutur Road in Vinukonda. It’s a pachari shop, which means we carry a variety of groceries and daily necessities. The street outside can get quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we are always dusting off the jars and packets on the counters. We’ve got a routine here that starts before the sun is fully up, getting everything ready for the first customers. The space inside is quite packed, with bags of rice and lentils stacked up in the corners. We don't have a lot of room to move around, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Vinukonda is a place where people know each other, so we spend a lot of time just chatting with whoever comes in. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit or sit at a desk. We are usually on our feet, lifting heavy sacks or measuring out oil and sugar. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light coming in from the front door, but we manage just fine. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy slogans. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair for the people on Vellutur Road. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We like the simplicity of running a local shop like this because it feels real and useful to the community.
