Athithigru Foods

If you walk down the Main Road in Lakshmipuram, you’ll find us right across from the Hdfc Bank. It’s a good spot because there are always people walking by. At Athithigru Foods, we don’t have a big fancy storefront. It’s just a practical space where we prepare everything. The morning starts with a lot of chopping and boiling. It’s humid in the kitchen, but that is part of the job. I usually handle the inventory while the others take care of the cooking. We get a lot of noise from the traffic outside, especially when the bank is busy. Sometimes it’s hard to hear each other over the horns, but we make it work. We aren't a corporate chain or anything. It’s just a local operation run by people who live nearby. We use regular ingredients and keep our recipes basic. There isn't a lot of mystery to what we do. We just want to make sure the food is ready on time for the afternoon rush. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but we try our best to keep things moving. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the neighbors are good people. We like the rhythm of this street even when it gets too loud to think straight.
