Sri Durga Bhavani Marbles & Granites

We’ve been here at Mahaveer Nagar on Khuba Plot for a while now. Most days it’s just us moving heavy slabs of marble and granite around the yard. It gets pretty dusty out here, especially when the wind picks up, but that is just part of the job when you deal with stone. If you are looking for 3-951, we are usually easy to spot because of the stacks of white and grey material out front. Sometimes we get busy with several trucks arriving at once, and things get a bit messy, but we manage. People from the neighborhood come by to see what we have in stock. It is not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the pieces aren't cracked. We spend a lot of time checking the edges of the granites because customers are often quite picky about that. Sometimes the sun is really hot and we have to take breaks in the shade. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, the whole place turns into a bit of a puzzle. It’s a lot of work, and our hands are always rough from the grit. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and start moving the stone. It’s a simple life here in this corner of the city. We’ve seen many houses go up nearby using stuff from our stacks. It’s nice to see that happen.
