River Stone Trading

In Kalaburagi, the heat can be something else, but we stay busy at River Stone Trading. We’re located on the Main Road, just behind the Dargah and near the Maqbara Masjid. It’s a very old part of town with a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk around. We deal in stones of all kinds, so our place is full of heavy pallets and stacks of different materials. The sound of stones clinking together and trucks idling is the soundtrack to our day. Because we’re near the Masjid and Dargah, there are always people around, and the atmosphere is quite lively. We keep things simple. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our stones are outside where people can see the real color in the sunlight. We get a lot of local builders coming through who need specific types of stone for their work. We spend a lot of time checking over what comes in and making sure it’s what our customers expect. It’s a physical job, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s good to be right here in the heart of Kalaburagi. We don't do much advertising; people just know to come behind the Dargah if they need stone. It’s how it’s always been for us.
