Apex International

Apex International is located at E-9, Site B in the Surajpur Industrial Area. It’s a big industrial zone and our plot is right in the middle of a long row of similar looking concrete buildings. The roads are a bit bumpy around here, especially after it rains and the puddles form. We have a large iron gate and a small guard shack at the entrance to keep things secure. Most of our space is taken up by the warehouse where we keep the international shipments and crates. The office part is just a small section partitioned off with some glass and thin wood panels. It’s usually quite cold in the winter months and very hot during the summer. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that spin all day long. We spend a lot of time on the phone with shipping agents and customs people at the ports. It can be very frustrating when things get delayed for no reason, but that’s just the nature of international trade. We aren't a big corporation with fancy brochures or a PR team. We just handle the crates and the paperwork as they come in and out. There’s a lot of dust because of all the heavy trucks driving by, so we have to wipe down the desks every morning before we start. It’s just a regular industrial job for us. We show up, check the manifests, and work through the list until the day ends.
