Our company, Green Kalyanpur Organic Producer Company Limited, is located over in West Dwarikapur. We use the place of the late Bihari Lal Das as our main hub. It’s a quiet spot, and most of us are just local people who have been farming for generations. We decided to stick together as a producer company to help with the organic transition. Transitioning a farm to organic isn't something that happens overnight, and it takes a lot of patience. We spend a lot of time out in the dirt, making sure everything is growing like it should. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is just the farmers, their tools, and the land. We try to keep things simple and honest. Some people might find our way of doing things a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We handle the sales mostly through local connections and small markets. West Dwarikapur is a small community where everyone knows everyone, so we have to do a good job. We are not some big corporate entity from the city. We are just your neighbors trying to grow food the best way we know how. It’s hard work, especially when the weather doesn't go our way, but we wouldn't trade it for an office job. We hope to keep doing this for a long time to come.
