Krishna Granites & Marble

Our shop is located at Shop No.1 in the Raiker Residency building, right on National Highway 17. We are in the Belloy area of Nuvem, which is part of Salcete near Margao. Being on the highway means we get a lot of people stopping by as they drive through this part of Goa. The shop is filled with various types of granite and marble, and we keep some of the larger stock outside where it's easier for the crane to move them. The weather here in Goa can be quite humid, which makes working with heavy stone even more of a workout for everyone. We deal mostly with local contractors and people who are fixing up their villas or holiday apartments. It's a simple setup we have here. We don't have any flashy brochures or a corporate office. We just show the slabs as they are, with all their natural patterns and minor imperfections. Sometimes the rain comes down really hard in the monsoon and we have to cover everything up quickly with tarps. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about measurements and what might look good in their space given the light. It’s a small team here, so we all do a bit of everything, from moving the heavy stone to handling the daily paperwork. It’s an honest living, and we’ve been at this spot in Rumdi for quite some time now, watching the traffic go by on the highway.
