Chirag Bag House

If you are in Panjim, you can find Chirag Bag House at Shop No-233 in the Old Municipal Market. The market is a really old place with a lot of character, and it’s always packed with tourists and locals looking for a bargain. Our shop is quite small, but we pack it full of bags of all kinds. From backpacks to small purses, we have a bit of everything hanging from the walls and stacked on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. The market can be very noisy with all the vendors calling out, and the smell of the nearby food stalls is always in the air. We’ve been here for many years, and the shop has seen better days, but the floor is swept and the bags are clean. We don't do any fancy advertising or have a big logo. Most people just walk in because they need a bag or their zipper broke and they need a quick fix. We talk to everyone who comes in, mostly about the weather or how busy the market is today. Panjim is a beautiful city, and being in the heart of the old market feels like being part of its history. It’s just a small shop where we try to be helpful and keep the bags in good order.
