Machhundri Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Amodra village, which is part of the Una taluka in Gir Somnath. You can find us at Manubhai Samatbhai Mori’s place. We are right near the Sahkari Mandali, which is a spot everyone in the village knows well. Being in a place like Amodra means we are surrounded by fields and people who have been farming for generations. We didn't want to set up in a big city far away because that wouldn't make any sense for what we are trying to do. Most of the time, our work involves sitting down with local growers and figuring out the best way to move our produce. It is a very hands-on kind of business. The office is really just a room where we keep our books and meet with people who stop by after their day in the fields is done. Manubhai is usually around to point people in the right direction. It gets quite hot here in Gir Somnath, but we just keep the fans running and keep working. We are a small group and we don't have a lot of fancy equipment or marketing teams. We just know the land and we know the people who work it. It is a practical arrangement that works for us and the other farmers in the village. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized so the business part doesn't get in the way of the farming.
