V R Metal Industries

Our workshop is at F 32 in Udyog Kunj, right near the NH 24 highway. Being so close to the main road means there is always a lot of noise from the trucks and buses passing by. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not the cleanest place in the world. We deal with metal here, and you can see stacks of iron rods and sheets piled up in the corner of the yard. The sound of cutting and grinding metal is pretty much constant during the day. It gets very hot under the tin roof when the sun is out, so we drink a lot of water. We don't have a fancy office or a waiting room for visitors. Usually, people just come into the shed and find us working on one of the machines. Our hands are almost always dirty with grease and metal shavings. We have a small table where we keep some tools and a heavy-duty stapler for the paperwork. It’s a lot of physical labor and we are usually pretty tired by the time evening comes around. We have been at this location for a long time and have gotten to know the other industrial units around us. We just focus on getting the metal pieces done right for the people who order them. It's a simple, tough job but it's what we do every day. Sometimes the crane we use for heavy lifting gets a bit stuck, so we have to give it some extra attention.
