About Tatya Baba Mobile Shop – Telecom in Ghaziabad
Down here in Khoda Colony, specifically Matrika Vihar, we’ve got Tatya Baba Mobile Shop. It’s a crowded area, so there is always noise and people moving about. My shop is tucked in a spot where the lanes get a bit narrow. I mostly sell recharges and fix small issues with handsets that the local workers bring in. The name comes from a family thing, nothing fancy. The walls are lined with plastic covers for every brand you can think of, though they get a bit yellow if they sit there too long. I usually have the radio playing in the background to pass the time when I’m soldering a charging port. Khoda is a busy place, and Matrika Vihar has a lot of families, so kids are always coming in asking for the cheapest earphones they can find. I do not keep a huge stock of new phones because people around here usually look for second-hand ones or just need their current one to last another year. The floor is just plain cement, and I sweep it twice a day, but the dust from the street always finds its way back in. It’s a humble place, honestly. Sometimes the internet is slow, making it hard to download software updates for the customers, but we get it done eventually. I spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who stop by to vent about their day while I work.
