Amit Trading Compny

Amit Trading Compny is at 139 Bazriyan Railway Road. Being right on the Railway Road means we are always aware of the train schedules because the whole building vibrates a little when the express trains go past. The shop is in an old part of town where the streets are narrow and the shops are packed tight next to each other. We trade in various goods and our inventory changes depending on what is available and what people are asking for that month. It’s a lot of manual work, moving sacks or boxes from the delivery trucks into our storage space. The front of the shop is where we spend most of our time talking to customers and writing down orders in our ledgers. We still use paper books because it feels more reliable than the computer sometimes. There is a small ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving during the long afternoons. People from the nearby villages often come in after they get off the train to see what we have in stock. We know most of our neighbors by name and we often share a cup of tea in the mornings before the rush starts. It’s a simple life of buying and selling without any of the fancy talk you see in big cities. We just try to keep the shelves full and make sure people find what they need at 139. Most days we close up late and walk home.
