Steel Man

Steel Man is located at Plot No 52 in Loha Mandi. We are right near the bus stand, which is handy for people traveling in. Loha Mandi is a place where everyone knows everyone else in the trade. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and metal dust, but that’s the nature of the business. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds of the trucks and the machines just feel like background noise now. We aren't a huge corporation with a human resources department. It’s just us. We deal with steel because it’s what we know. The office is small and usually has a thin layer of dust on everything no matter how much we clean. We don't mind it much. People come to us when they need something specific and don't want to deal with a big company that doesn't know their name. We handle the orders as they come in. Sometimes we get a bit backed up, but we always get through it eventually. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just sell steel and try to be fair about it. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially when prices go up and down, but we’ve stuck through it. Most of our day is spent out in the yard or on the phone with suppliers. It’s a busy life, but it’s ours. We plan to stay here as long as people need steel.
