Our company, Spark Engineering Pvt.Ltd., is based at 40/1, Site Iv. in the Sahibabad Industrial Area. This area is always buzzing with activity, and our building is right in the middle of it. We have been here long enough to know the rhythms of the street and when the power cuts usually happen. Inside the workshop, we have our setup for engineering work. It is a functional space, meant for productivity rather than looks. We have some heavy machinery that takes up a lot of the floor space. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more concerned with making sure the parts we make are correct. Our team consists of local workers who know their jobs inside and out. We usually start the day with a quick talk about what needs to be done before the machines get fired up. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting together and talking about whatever is going on in the news or the neighborhood. Sahibabad is a tough place to work sometimes because of the congestion, but we like the energy of it. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall; we just have a schedule and a list of things that need to be shipped out. It's a simple, hardworking environment where everyone knows what they are supposed to do.
