A.M. Engineering Works

We are out at Khasra No. 1876 on Kullu Garhi Road. It's in the industrial area, so it's not the prettiest place, but it's where we do our work. Being near the Vasana Toll Tax means there's a lot of noise and trucks passing by at all hours. Our shop, A.M. Engineering Works, is basically just a big room filled with machines and tools. We've been here for a good while now, just doing everyday engineering tasks. It’s mostly metalwork and fixing parts that people bring in. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there’s always a bit of grease on our hands. We don’t have a big office or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll likely find us right there at the machines. Some days are long, starting early before the sun gets too hot and working until the evening. The Kullu Garhi Road gets quite dusty when the wind blows through the industrial area. We just focus on the job and try to get things done right. It's a simple operation. We aren't doing anything fancy, just standard engineering work like drilling and turning. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to take a break, but mostly we are just busy with the machines. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We’ve gotten used to the sound of the toll traffic and the rhythm of the shop floor over the years. We just keep our heads down and work.
