I’ve been running Shiva Communication here on the Main Road in Indirapuram for some time now. Our spot is at 880/2, right in Naya Khand II. Most mornings start with me pulling up the metal shutter and sweeping out the dust that blows in from the road. It gets pretty busy outside with all the traffic heading toward the main intersections. People usually stop in because they need a quick mobile recharge or maybe a new SIM card when their old one stops working. The shop isn't huge, just enough room for a glass counter and a couple of stools for people to sit while they wait. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a local place where the neighbors stop by to ask for directions or just to check their balance. I try to keep things simple here. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. Living and working in Naya Khand II means seeing the same faces every day, which is nice. Most people know us just by being on this stretch of the road. It’s not fancy, but we are here from morning until late evening most days of the week. Sometimes it's quiet, and other times three people are trying to talk to me at once about their phone plans. I've got a small plastic clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly when it’s silent.
