We are located right on the Loni Main Road, which is always full of dust and the sound of horns from the Ghaziabad traffic. It’s a hectic place to work, but it means there are always people coming in with broken screens or phones that won't turn on. The workbench is in the back, under a bright light where we can see all the tiny parts inside a mobile. Most of the time, it’s just a cracked display that needs a new piece of glass, but sometimes the motherboard is fried and we have to tell the customer the bad news. We have been here on the Ghaziabad Road for a while, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place with tools, some spare parts, and a lot of old phones sitting in a box for parts. People in Loni are usually in a hurry, so they want things done fast, but you can't rush a soldering job or you’ll mess it up. We just do our best with what we have and keep the shop open until late. It gets hot in the afternoons with the sun hitting the front of the building, but we have a small fan that keeps the air moving. It’s a simple life, just fixing one phone after another and watching the traffic go by outside.
