S L Chaurasia Pan Bhandar

We are located right on the G.T Road in Ghaziabad, and if you know that road, you know it never really sleeps. There is always a layer of dust on the windows from the construction and the buses passing by, but that is just part of being in this spot. I spend most of my day behind the counter, getting things ready for the evening rush when people are heading home from work. It’s a small place, honestly, just enough room for the essentials and a couple of people to stand. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so my hands just move on their own now when I’m mixing things up. People stop their bikes or pull over their cars for a quick minute before moving on. I see all sorts of folks, from office workers in their suits to truck drivers who have been on the road for hours. It’s interesting to watch the world go by from this little corner. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop here on the main road. Sometimes it gets so busy that there’s a line out onto the pavement, and I have to work fast to keep everyone happy. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. The smell of the betel leaves and the spices is always in the air here. It’s what I know, and I’m glad to be a part of the daily routine for so many people in Ghaziabad.
