Our spot at D-9 in the Meerut Road Industrial Area has been our base for quite a while now. If you’ve ever driven down that road, you know it’s mostly factories and warehouses. It gets pretty dusty and loud with all the heavy vehicles moving around. We work on glass machines here. It’s not the cleanest job in the world. There’s usually oil on the benches and metal shavings on the floor. We have a small team of people who have been doing this for years. We aren't really corporate types. Most of us wear work clothes and don't worry too much about how the office looks. The focus is always on the machines. When a machine comes in for repair, it takes up a lot of space in the shop. We have to move things around just to walk. Meerut can get very hot in the summer, so we have some big fans going all day. It doesn't really help that much, but we get used to it. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising or anything. Most people find out about S K Glass Machines because they’ve seen our name at D-9 or heard about us from someone else in the industry. It’s just a straightforward place where we work hard and try to keep things moving. We like the industrial area because everyone else is doing the same thing.
