Start with Shastri Nagar. It's a busy spot in Ghaziabad. We've been at Sk-123 for a long time now. The street gets crowded with trucks and rickshaws early in the morning. Inside, it's mostly the sound of metal and cooling oil. We work on different types of machine tools. It is not a fancy place. There are stacks of parts in the corners and the floor is usually a bit oily from the work. Most of us here have been doing this for years, so we know the machines inside out. We spend most of the day fixing things or getting new orders ready for customers. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is just a regular workshop where we try to keep things moving. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk where we keep the papers. My father started things here and now we just continue it. It's a lot of hard work and the grease never really comes off your hands. People from around the neighborhood know where to find us. We don't do much advertising. Usually, someone just tells a friend to come here when they need something made. We just focus on the job at hand and try to finish it by the time the sun goes down. It's noisy and dusty, but that’s how a tool shop is supposed to be. Anyway, we just keep at it every single day.
