S K Fabricator

You can find S K Fabricator at G B Road, Shop No 618/5, right on Shraddhanand Marg. This is a place where we do a lot of heavy lifting and metalwork. The shop is narrow and opens directly onto the street, so it can get pretty loud with the traffic passing by. We do all kinds of fabrication, mostly making gates, window grills, or fixing iron frames. There are always sparks flying somewhere in the shop, and we keep our masks and gloves on the hooks by the wall. The floor is concrete and usually covered in bits of metal and dust from the grinders. Shraddhanand Marg is a busy place, so we see a lot of people walking past while we’re welding. We don’t have an air conditioner, just a large pedestal fan that moves the hot air around. Our benches are scarred from years of use, and our tools are old but they still do the job. Most customers come in with a rough drawing of what they want, and we figure it out from there. We don’t have a computer for designs, we just use chalk on the floor or a pencil on a scrap of paper. It’s a manual job and it’s hard on the back, but we’ve been here at shop 618/5 for a long time. We take breaks when the electricity goes out, which happens sometimes. It’s just the way things go around G B Road.
