R K Watch Service Center

Our little shop, R K Watch Service Center, is at 413 Krishna Nagar Bagu, right along the Bye Pass Road in Vijay Nagar. It’s a small place because you don’t need much room to work on watches. I spend most of my time sitting at a small desk with a magnifying glass and some very tiny tools. The road outside is always noisy with trucks and cars going past on the bypass, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of clocks ticking on the wall. We get all kinds of watches here. Some are old ones that haven't worked in years, and others are just basic ones that need a new battery or a strap. People from all over Vijay Nagar come by because they know we’ve been here for a while. It takes a steady hand and a lot of patience to fix some of these movements. Sometimes I have to search through old bins of parts to find the right gear or a specific screw. It’s a bit messy with all the tiny bits and pieces everywhere, but I know where everything is. The shop isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a door and a window with some watches displayed. But it’s where I do my work every day. It’s a quiet trade in a loud part of town. I just like the feeling of making something tick again after it’s been dead for a while.
