Our place, Pooja Deepak Distributor, is at 116 Savitri Complex. It’s right across from the old Choudhary Cinema on the GT Road. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the cinema is. The complex itself is always bustling with different businesses. We handle a lot of distribution work, which basically means our space is usually full of crates and boxes. It’s not always the neatest place, as we are constantly moving things in and out. There’s a lot of checking invoices and making sure the counts are right. We have a couple of desks shoved into the corner for the paperwork, but we spend most of our time on our feet. The stairs in the complex can be a bit of a workout when the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we'd like. We’ve been doing this for years, and we know the GT Road traffic patterns better than anyone. It’s a noisy area with all the horns and the people going to the movies, but it feels like the heart of the town. We aren't trying to be the biggest distributor out there. We just want to make sure our clients get their stuff on time. It’s a simple goal. Sometimes we share a tea with the guys from the shop next door when things quiet down in the afternoon. It’s just how we run things here in the complex and it works for us.
