R K Steels

R K Steels is situated at Plot No. 401 in Loha Mandi, right on B.S. Road. We are quite easy to spot because we are near the bus stand. Having the bus stand so close means there are always crowds of people and buses rumbling by, which adds to the noise of the Mandi. Our plot is usually full of steel bars and various sections that need to be moved around. It is a busy place and the ground is almost always covered in a bit of rust or mud depending on the weather. We stay at 401 and try to keep things moving as fast as the traffic on B.S. Road allows. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of the Mandi and everything grinds to a halt. We just stand around and chat until things clear up. The shed provides some shade, but when it’s summer in this part of town, it doesn't do much to keep the heat out. We have a small corner where we keep the records and a water cooler that gets a lot of use. It is a simple operation. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It is just a yard with a lot of heavy metal and people working hard to get things loaded up. You get used to the clanging sounds after a few days of working here in the yard.
