Qamar Steels

Qamar Steels is located at Plot No 141 in Loha Mandi. We are right on Gali No. 1, so it’s usually the first place people see when they turn into the lane. The street is pretty narrow, and when two trucks try to pass each other, it’s a whole situation. We’ve spent many hours just watching that happen from the front of the shop. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of steel and the sound of the saws if we are cutting something to size. It’s a bit dark inside the warehouse, but we know where everything is. We don’t do any fancy advertising or anything. Most people just know us from being in the Mandi for so long. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving the heavy stuff around and making sure it’s loaded safely. We get a lot of regulars who come in just to see what’s in stock. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of iron, which you stop noticing after the first hour. We take our breaks when we can, usually sitting on a pile of something or other. It’s a simple, straightforward way to make a living. Gali No. 1 is a busy spot, and we are right in the thick of it every single day, from morning until the sun goes down. There isn't much to it besides that daily grind and moving the metal. It’s a tough job but it's what we know.
