Palak Creations

Flat 133, Tower 9, GH7, Crossing Republic. It's right by ABES College. The area stays busy because of the students, and you can see them walking past from the balcony sometimes. Inside the flat, it’s mostly just us working around a couple of large tables we pushed together. There are scraps of fabric everywhere and the sewing machines make a constant humming sound that we’ve gotten used to. We started Palak Creations here a while back because it was a convenient spot to get things done without too much fuss. Most mornings start with clearing off the workspace from the night before and checking what needs to be finished. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that, just a place where we put things together and try to keep up with the orders that come in. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for Tower 9, so we have to go down and meet them by the gate. The lighting in the main room is a bit bright but it helps when we’re trying to see the small details on the clothes. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though half the time nobody is really listening to it. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock piled up against the walls, but we manage to find what we need eventually. It’s just a normal workday here, nothing too exciting, just us doing our thing in this corner of Crossing Republic.
