Anis Choudhary

Anis Choudhary is based out of Mehrauli, at 504 5. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history in the streets. My family has lived around here for generations. The building we work out of isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s got some cracks in the walls and the stairs are a bit steep. We don’t have a lot of employees, just a handful of us who have been working together for a while now. We know most of our regulars by their first names. Work usually starts early in the morning before it gets too hot to think. We have a small desk near the window where I do the bookkeeping. It’s not automated or anything, just pen and paper for the most part. We don’t think much about being "corporate." That’s just not our style. We like the local feel of the area. There’s a market nearby so there is always something going on outside to watch. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking near the door, which can be annoying. We just deal with the small problems as they pop up throughout the day. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We don’t need much more than a roof over our heads and some steady work to keep us moving.
