Kumod Maheshwari

I have been running my business, Kumod Maheshwari, in the Upper Bazar area of Modi Nagar for a long time. This part of the city is very old and the streets are always packed with vendors and shoppers. My place is right in the middle of all that buzz. It’s an old building, and the office is quite simple, with just the basic things I need to get my work done. I mostly handle trading and local supplies for people in the market. It’s the kind of place where people just drop in to talk about what they need. I don't have a big staff or a fancy computer system. I still like to keep my records in my old ledgers because it’s easier for me to keep track of things that way. The days can be quite long, and the market gets very hot in the summer months, but it’s a good way to stay connected with the community. I see the same faces every day, which I like. We aren't doing anything world-changing here, just regular buying and selling and helping folks out with their requirements. Sometimes the shipments are late or the weather makes things difficult, but we just keep going. If you are walking through the Upper Bazar, you will likely find me there, probably drinking a cup of tea and looking over some paperwork.
