New Vishkarma Engg Works

Our workshop is at 7/32 Site-2 in the Loni Road Industrial Area, which is part of Mohannagar. Being in an industrial zone means it is never quiet. There is always the sound of some machine running or a truck backing up somewhere nearby. We have been here for a while, working with different types of engineering jobs. The space is filled with lathes, drills, and various metal-working tools. Grease and oil are just part of the decor here; you can't really avoid them when you are fixing or making parts. We wear old clothes because everything we touch is likely to leave a smudge. The roof is high, which helps with the heat, but it still gets quite warm when all the machines are running at once. We do not have a separate office, just a small area with a table where we can look at drawings or talk to people who come in. It is a lot of precise work, measuring things down to the millimeter and making sure the metal is cut just right. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, so we end up staying late under the tube lights. It is a gritty, hands-on environment where we focus on the task in front of us. Most of the people around here are doing similar work, so there is a bit of a community feel among the different units in the Site-2 area.
