N. S. Engineering Work

We are over at 2367/7 in the New Zajir Colony, right off the main Hapur Road. It is a busy part of town and there is always a lot of dust flying around from the traffic. Our engineering workshop is tucked into a row of buildings that all look pretty much the same. You have to look for the number to make sure you’re at the right place. Inside, the space is filled with the smell of welding and the sound of grinders. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s an engineering shop, so that is expected. We have piles of iron rods and plates leaning against the walls. The floor is concrete and has cracks running through it from years of heavy work. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it over the machines. My brother and I run the place most days. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People mostly find us because someone told them we were here. We do whatever repairs or custom jobs come our way. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we have to wait, which gives us a chance to sit on the bench outside and watch the trucks go by on Hapur Road. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
