About Micro Engineering Works – Engineering in Ghaziabad
We’ve been operating out of the Punjab Expeller Compound at Gate Number 2 for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, and you can usually hear the machines hum as soon as you walk into the yard. Micro Engineering Works isn't a fancy place with carpets or air conditioning; it’s a workshop where we deal with metal and repairs every single day. Most of us here have grease under our fingernails by lunch, which is just part of the job. The floors are concrete and there are stacks of spare parts in the corners. Sometimes the tea guy misses our turn, but we manage. We handle the engineering tasks that come our way, focusing on getting things fixed or built right so people can get back to their own work. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we’ve got a couple of big fans that move the air around. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local engineering shop. If you come by, you’ll see us in our blue overalls, probably leaning over a lathe or checking a blueprint. It’s honest work, and we like the routine of it. We keep track of everything in a big old ledger. The neighbors in the compound are mostly okay, and we all help each other out if someone needs a specific wrench or a bit of advice on a tough project. That’s just how things go around here at Gate 2.
