Rehnu International

Our place is at Plot No 7 in the Punjab Expeller Compound, right on Meerut Road in Santej Kalol. We’re directly opposite the UVCL sub station, so we’re pretty easy to spot once you get into this part of town. Rehnu International is the name on the gate, though it’s a bit faded now from the sun. The compound is always full of activity, with people moving parts and machinery around. We deal with various international trade bits, but mostly we’re just focused on the day-to-day warehouse tasks. It’s a big dusty space with high ceilings and a lot of metal. When it rains, the sound on the tin roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We’ve got a small desk near the entrance where we keep track of what’s coming and going. The air smells like grease and old cardboard, which is just the way an export-import spot usually is. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted on the walls. We just show up, do the work, and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we’re like a small family. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the weather while we wait for the trucks. It’s a decent way to earn a living in Santej.
