Meena Steel

Setting up shop at Plot No.7 near the Morta Police Chowki was a practical choice for us. Being in the Sector 22 industrial area off Meerut Road means there is always something going on. Meena Steel isn't a huge operation, but we stay busy. Handling steel is heavy, dirty work, and there is no way around that. Our clothes usually have grease or rust on them by the end of the shift. The area around Morta Police Chowki is pretty active, with a lot of trucks and lorries moving through at all hours. It can be a bit of a headache when we are trying to unload a delivery and the road is backed up. Inside the gate, it’s mostly just piles of steel rods and plates. We don’t have a fancy reception area; usually, you just find someone on the floor if you need to talk. The roof gets really hot when the sun is out, but that’s just how it is in an industrial shed. We’ve got a few old machines that have been with us since the start, and they still run fine if you know how to treat them. It’s a lot of manual lifting and moving things around. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the day is spent right there on the shop floor getting the orders ready. It’s a simple life but it works for us.
