M V Engineering Works

If you walk down Gali Number 1 in Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Nagar, you will find us at Fca -3011/A. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in this lane, especially when we have big pieces of metal coming in or out. M V Engineering Works has been at this spot for a good while. The machines make a lot of noise, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the grinding and welding sounds. It is definitely not a quiet place to work, but we are used to it by now. The floor is always covered in iron shavings, no matter how much we sweep. Our neighbor's cat likes to come in and sit on the workbench when the machines are off, which is kind of funny. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and find someone with grease on their hands. That is usually me or one of the boys. We handle a lot of small repairs and custom parts for people around the colony. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we all just sit outside on the stools until it comes back on. It gives us a chance to catch our breath and talk about the cricket scores. It’s a honest way to spend the day, even if we go home looking a bit messy.
