Krishna Battery

Working at Lohia Nagar Main Road C-21 means dealing with a lot of heavy lifting. Batteries are not light, and my arms are usually tired by the time I close up Krishna Battery for the night. We are right on the main road, so it’s always dusty and loud with cars and bikes zooming past. I spend my time checking voltages and topping up the distilled water in the big lead-acid batteries. There’s always that sharp, sour smell of battery acid in the air, which I don't even notice anymore, but visitors always mention it. I help people whose cars won't start or whose home inverters have died in the middle of a power cut. It’s messy work, and my clothes usually have a few small holes from the acid, but it’s what I do. I have the big batteries stacked against the wall, and I have to be careful how I move them so I don't hurt my back. When someone comes in with a dead battery, they are usually stressed out, so I just try to test it quickly and tell them if it can be charged or if it’s totally gone. I don't use any fancy machines, just the standard testers and a lot of experience knowing how these things behave in the heat. It’s a basic shop for a basic need, and I’m fine with that. It's just me and the stacks of batteries every day.
